How does ELgo work?

It is very simple. We pay the upfront costs for your car's battery. You pay us back in easy installments throughout the lifetime of the battery.

Is is cheaper to buy or lease the battery from ELgo?

We utilise the battery's second life revenue and redistribute it for you during the first mobile life of the battery. So the overall cost will always be less with the leased model of ELgo.

What do you mean by second life? Do you mean I do not use my batteries fully?

Yes, something like that. The first mobile life of a battery is considered to be only limited to first 4-5 years. While it can still be used for other applications during the second life for many more years. As an EV owner you hardly get this benefit. We ensure that this revenue is shared with you.

If I lease the batteries, what will happen when the first life ends ?

That is probably the biggest advantage of our business. You don't have to buy the replacement batteries yourself. You can continue being our customers and we will replace the batteries with new ones for you.

Does ELgo produce their own batteries?

No. We respect the OEMs. We believe, that your car manufacturer knows their product the best and its not efficient to operate your car with different batteries. Therefore you still use the original batteries which are best for your dream car.

Can I buy the batteries if I want?

Yes. You can terminate the contract anytime. The cost of the battery will be calculated at the termination point according to factors like age, distance travelled and general battery usage.

What options do I have if I want to discontinue?

We won't let that situation to come. Promise!!!

Still if you have made up your mind then you can either buy the leased batteries from us or choose to buy new ones from the open market. We will remove our batteries from the car though.

On what basis is my rent calculated?

You can choose a fitting plan from the various options provided by ELgo. All of our plans will be calculated with easy installments according to the users distance travelled, age of the battery, type of EV and the driving styles of the user.

Do you get insurance for the batteries?

Yes. Please be assured, all the batteries will be fully secured with insurance.

Who should be contacted in case of issues with the battery?

You should contact the service point of your car manufacturer. The battery warrenty will still be covered by the OEMs.

What if, I want to sell my car?

You can sell your car anytime but please inform ELgo before selling it. The new owners will get the same deal. They can either choose to remain with ELgo and transfer the lease or they can choose to the batteries fromELgo at a reduced price.

How can customers pay for the contracts?

Be assured we will provide multiple payment channels in the due time.
